I was out one night and came across a busker playing this dome shaped instrument that looked a little like a UFO. I stood mesmerized by the sounds. The sound resonated right through me. After about 5 mins of listening my friend and I walked away. I felt different. Like I’d had a chakra steam clean. It was amazing.

I found out this instrument is called a Hang (Drum) it’s made in Switzerland by PanArt. They say it’s not an instrument, it’s human resonance. They don’t make a lot of them. You have to hand write a letter to them, wait in the 6 month queue and then go personally to pick it up. They don’t deliver… They’re also about A$1500.

So I figured maybe there was some music. I found an artist named GIDDA on Itunes and Amazon. The better the sound system the better the effect. It’s close to the feeling but not the same as live.

There’s a similar product called the hapi drum. I’m not so sure it has the same “human resonance” I think curiosity will get the better of me so stay tuned.

If anyone knows of any Artist playing the Hang that replicate the feeling when they saw that Busker on the street.. They all busk and they all seem to have dreads.. Please let me know.
