Holosync Meditation
December 23rd, 2008
What is Holosync? It”s a meditation audio course. There are 12 levels. You can become an “Inner circle” member for a bargin price of $1800 to $2,000. The first basic level is $179 US. After the 1st level you get to customise your levels by ringing up and reading out a whole lot of affirmations you”ve chosen over the phone. It puts your voice on a loop and embeds it into the audio. You can”t hear your voice but apparently it”s in there.
What is Holosync supposed to do? Because it puts a different frequency in your left to your right ear the brain has to create neuron pathways between both hemispheres to balance the frequency. This leads to more “whole brain” thinking.
I figured after years of going to the gym it was time that I exercised my brain. I saw an ad in the paper to “Meditate Deeper than a Monk” and got the sample. I”ve been meditating with Holosync and and off for over 6 years and I”m on level 5. Each level Bill says should take around 6 months to complete. Each level increases the depth of your meditation. i”d be on a higher level by now but my request for the next level didn”t get a response and the last few levels have taken a year to arrive.
So am I any different because of the meditation? I know things don”t get to me much anymore. Stress? Well a lot less than I used to. I”d say stress is down 80% if I had to quantify it.
Do I think Holosync is overpriced? Yes. Would I buy it again if I knew then what I know is out there now? No.
I”ve just started listening to new meditation tracks which are a lot cheaper. 3 Levels are $87! And you can buy the levels individually. The first time I listened to the second level it was amazing! With all the meditation audio”s I have I really didn”t think there”d be much out there that would affect me. I”m going to keep listening daily for a few weeks to make sure it”s as good as I think it is before i let you know about it. Stay tuned in the New year for the result.
My Akashic reading
December 19th, 2008
I had a reading done by Jafree a year ago. What did I learn? That there”s 20,000 people in the world that are in my “soul group” (soul mates), that I should live near water, that I”ve met a few guys in my soul group but they didn”t match up to my ego”s perception of what I thought I was looking for. That I need to quieten my mind.. (Monkey Zap works really well for that.) He said I have a natural talent for knowing what will sell. He”s right, I do. Overall I did get some value from it. My soul seemed to have a lot to say to my mind.. It wasn”t specific information like “you”ll meet a tall dark-haired man” but that”s not why I went. If you”re interested in the bigger picture I recommend you get an Akashic reading.

Jon Gordon – The Energy Bus
December 12th, 2008
I’ve recently read a book called “The Energy Bus” by Jon Gordon
If individuals and companies employed the theories of “The Energy Bus” people all over the world would be jumping out of bed in the morning. Jon talks about the power of positive thinking and action. He puts it in an easy to read and fun book. Perfect for people who haven’t read a book in years.
Here’s a video of Jon

Website update
December 11th, 2008
I’ve seen the first sample page for the home of www.amindbodyandspirit.com and I’m pretty excited about it. It’s very Zen.
The purpose of this site is to inform you about lots of different modalities how to stay fit and healthy and the facts the experts and friends that I know have been telling me over the years. I’ve been on at them probably for just as long to let the general public know all these amazing facts!
I’ve convinced my good friend Janine to write an e-book on Feng shui, I showed her an e-book I found on the subject and she assures me she can write one 1000x better. She consults to people for their homes to Multi-million dollar companies. She’s in so much demand she’s rarely in the the country.
She Feng Shui my house a few years ago. Being single… guess where my relationship section was? In the toilet!
Did you know the compass school of Feng shui is not necessarily effective in isolation?
Sally a brilliant clearing consultant has also agreed to write an e-book. Her sessions have changed my life. After a session with her, clearing old past beliefs new people show up almost instantaneously!
Rebecca – the best Kinesiologist I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a few) has promised to start writing an e-book. It’s true that physical ailments start in your mind. Wether you know it consciously or not.
I have a lot more friends and Consultants to harass but Rome wasn’t built in a day.
What do you want to know about?

Intuitive moments
December 6th, 2008
This has happened to me a few times mainly when my business card is about to be pulled out of a business function raffle. The first time as they were about to draw the prize I thought “oh no, I’m going to have to get up on that stage in front of all those people!”, A bottle of Moet was worth the uncomfortable feeling of the whole room looking at me as I walked up on stage. The next time I actually told the drawer of the prize to pick my card out (not that he was looking when he did) I knew that he would. Maybe that was just the powers of suggestion. It’s very cool when it does happen.
Horse racing.. Quite a few times I’ve known which horse is going to win. A few years ago (this is only a once a year event) a guy whom considered himself quite the punter had been giving me dud tips all day. Finally I’d had enough and took the form guide from him and told him I’d give him the winning tip on the next race. I told him, he placed the smallest bet on it he’d made all day.. Guess what. It won.
This year again I was with another “expert” punter. After 2 bad tips from him, I took the 3rd one to the auto betting machine knowing it wasn’t going to get anywhere. I looked at the machine and one horse caught my eye. I bet on it (only $5) and of course it won. Did I get into trouble for not passing on that info! On another race I had a friend convinced no 18 was the winner. I told him it wasn’t even going to place and that no 1 was going to win. He ignored me and I won $228! Then the next race he asked me what was going to win.. My intuition was shot. It’s almost when I try and force it, it runs and hides.
I think the best advice I can give you is remember that feeling of “knowing” vs trying to know. I’m still learning.
The gambling thing. If next year I win big (over $300) I plan to donate the money to charity so there’s no universal karma from winning money through intution. Although that raises an interesting question regarding money vs. spirituality that i’ll cover shortly.

The road to intuition
December 4th, 2008
The Road to Intuition
Have you had that experience when all of a sudden you just had this huge hunch that something is about to happen, and to your surprise, that intuition was eventually translated to reality?
When you feel strongly about something without logical basis to it, that’s called intuition. It comes in three impressions: clairvoyance or “the third eye”, sensing clearly and feeling through listening.
Sensing clearly is basically what we refer to as “hunch” or “gut feel.” This is the time when you are overwhelmed with a feeling and you can’t explain it and all you can say is “I just know.”
Why the need to develop intuition, you ask? Why not let your emotional and psychological state as it is? First and foremost, intuition promotes good communication. It makes you more sensitive to the people around you; it often keeps you from hurting those you love because you are intuitive enough to understand them. Intuition also makes you far more creative than ever. Intuition means releasing more creative juices for any means of expression. Lastly, intuition has a healing power. This healing power is not in the physical sense, but in delving deep into your soul to eradicate some negative energy buried in it.
With that being said, are you ready to develop your intuition? Here are some ways to unlock this gift:
1. Hypnosis
Oh yes, get yourself hypnotized. Hypnosis is not limited to watching a pendulum move back and forth. Perform self-hypnosis or you can avail of hypnotic programs that can strengthen your intuition.
2. Meditation
Meditating means finding peace in yourself. If your mind and heart are cluttered with too many baggage and hurt, you wouldn’t be able to quiet down that part of you that could eventually initiate intuition. There are so many ways to meditate: take a yoga class, or just simply practice some breathing that could bring you straight to Zen.
3. Think positive!
A worry-free, fear-free state could do so much to improve your intuitive ability. By staying positive, you attract good energy that would be able to easily recognize imminent feelings and events.
4. Just let go.
What does this mean? If you are on the brink of making a huge decision, let go of all the inhibitions and head to a quiet place where you could find out where the letting go has brought you. Sometimes you just have to listen to the voice within you, and that voice wouldn’t come out unless you let go.
5. Never expect.
After letting go of the inhibitions and all those things that stop you from thinking and feeling clearly, never expect for an answer right away. Never expect that the “hunch” would fall on your lap immediately. Give it a little time then you’d just get surprised that — wham! — now you have your answer.
6. Believe in your first impressions.
When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought by intuition.
7. Stay happy!
See? All you need to be intuitive is to stay happy! Happiness attracts immense power and such power includes intuition. In tapping your intuition, your motivation must be happiness and contentment. Given that premise, intuition will fall to you easily.
Intuition is helpful, because sometimes it leads you to something that cannot be achieved otherwise. A lot of lives have been saved by intuition alone. Decisions are easier done if armed by this gift. Develop intuition now and reap benefits you have never imagined.
Rules for being Human
December 2nd, 2008
I was given this awhile ago. I’m not sure who the Author was but it’s a great way to put things into perspective.
Rules for being Human
1. You will receive a body. You may like or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period this time around.
2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant and stupid.
3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial and error experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately “works”.
4. A lesson is repeated until it is learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can then go onto the next lesson.
5. Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of life that does not contain it’s lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.
6. “there” is no better than “here”. When your “there” has become a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will, again, look better than “here”.
7. Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.
9. Your answers lie inside you. the answers to life’s questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen and trust.
10. You will forget all of this.
Listen to your gut

I just found a great article on digestion written by your stomach. Did you know the size of your waist has nothing to do with the size of your stomach?

A great way to stay fit in less time
November 28th, 2008
For the past 6 months I’ve been going to a Vibra-gym surely if you stay up late you’ll have seen an info-mercial for them. It’s a vibrating plate that you do exercises and stretches on. Due to the vibration of the plate your muscles fatigue a lot quicker because you have to stablise yourself at the same time as do the exercise.
They claim 15 mins on the Vibra-gym is equivilent to an hour in the gym. I had an electronic test done which measures things like body water %, muscle mass, bone mineral mass, basal metabolism rate, metabolism age. I started 6 months ago and went from metabolism age of 34 to 19. Then Spring racing carnival hit (4 big days and nights of socialising) then Christmas parties started. It’s interesting how just as easily muscle is built it can disappear and fat comes creeping in. I’ve lost weight but obviously the wrong kind! So I have made an 28th November resolution (these kind of resolutions don’t have to wait till 1st Jan) to exercise 4 days a week and eat more greens.. Mum will be proud. If you can’t find Vibra-gyms then the other machine similar is Powerplate
Here’s an interesting video of the Vibra-gym…
Here’s a more technical one..
The other part to my work-out is the Hypoxi machine. Think lay-down biking vs a space ship. It’s a 30 minute workout I do after the Vibra-gym. The studio recommends 3 times a week but Pilates has to get a slot too! It works on your butt and thighs. I have to say even though I did go backwards the last month, (have I mentioned I have a great relationship with chocolate?) I’ve lost a total of 6 cms off my butt. For non-metric people thats just under 2.5 inches. And about 2 inches (5cms) off my legs. Obviously diet plays an important part in the success of this program. They suggest not eating carbs for up to 6 hours after Hypoxi to achieve best results.

Vitamins…. Is your money going down the toilet?
November 26th, 2008
I have to say here that I’m skeptical about the mass marketed Vitamins and minerals on the market today.
I’ve often taken the “supplement of the week” to my Natropath so they could test two things.. if it was beneficial for me and if I was able to absorb it. More often than not it was one and not the other.
Yes we all have the same physical make up but not everybody absorbs supplements the same way. Hence why a “one supplement for all people” isn”t effective.
There were only two supplements my Natropath has ever seen that rated highly on both benefit and absorption and these were from Ainsworths – they are a Natropathic company in the UK.
Both my sisters swear by their Mother and Child remedy kit. It’s saved them a lot of doctor’s bills.
The only other supplements I take.. and no there’s no kickbacks going on here is Dr Al Sears MD he has an interesting outlook on the medical profession. If you can cope with all the offers he sends you there is some good reading in his newsletters.
